By creating a RECLION account, purchasing a license, or installing the RECLION desktop application, you agree to these terms.

1. License grant

You receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use RECLION on one (1) Windows personal computer at a time, for the version tier you purchased (early access or v2.0).

You may move your license between PCs using the deactivation flow at /dashboard. You may not run the same license on multiple PCs simultaneously, share your license key, or attempt to bypass the activation system.

2. Free for life, with free version upgrades

Your license is a one-time payment for lifetime use, including free upgrades to v2.0 and every future version. There are no recurring fees. No usage caps. No feature paywalls switching on later. No upgrade fees between major versions.

3. Free upgrades for existing customers

Buying the early-access tier does entitle you to v2.0 (and any later major version) at no charge. Your same license key activates each new release. The advertised $59 v2.0 price applies to new customers buying after v2.0 launches, not to existing license holders.

4. Account responsibilities

You’re responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. We’re not liable for losses caused by compromised credentials.

5. Payment

All prices are in US dollars and processed by PayPal. You authorize the displayed amount at checkout. Sales tax / VAT may apply depending on your jurisdiction; if so, PayPal collects and remits.

6. Refunds

We offer a 14-day, no-questions-asked refund window from the date of purchase. To request a refund, sign in to your dashboard, open Support → Request Refund, and submit. Refunds are issued back to your original PayPal source within 5–10 business days.

After 14 days, refunds are at our discretion and are evaluated case-by-case (e.g., a defect we cannot fix in a reasonable time). The default answer outside the window is “no.”

When a refund is issued, your license is revoked and the desktop app refuses to launch on its next online check (within ~14 days at most). One refund per customer.

See the Refund Policy for the full process. Chargebacks issued without first contacting support through your dashboard are treated as fraud per Section 7.

7. Acceptable use

You may not:

  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the licensing system, or use the desktop app to build a competing product.
  • Use RECLION to record or distribute content that violates the rights of others (copyright, trade-secret, privacy, etc.).
  • Issue chargebacks for purchases you have used in good faith. Fraudulent chargebacks result in immediate license revocation and an account suspension.

8. Service availability and support

The licensing service is provided on a best-effort basis. There is no uptime SLA at this price tier. The desktop app is designed to keep working offline for up to 30 days between licensing checks, so brief outages do not interrupt your work.

Support is provided through your customer dashboard only. Sign in to reclion.com/dashboard and open a ticket. The public inquiry inbox at roar@reclion.com is for pre-sale and general inquiries. We do not provide phone support.

9. If we shut down the service

If we ever stop operating the licensing service, we’ll release a final desktop build that no longer requires online validation, so your purchase keeps working. This is a commitment, not just a hope.

10. Disclaimers

RECLION is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We don’t guarantee bug-free operation, compatibility with every hardware configuration, or that recordings will be free of artifacts in every scenario.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from your use of RECLION is capped at the amount you paid for your license. We’re not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits or lost recordings.

12. Termination

We may suspend or revoke your license for fraud, chargeback, or material breach of these terms. You may terminate at any time by deleting your account; per Section 6, no refund is issued.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Manila, Philippines.

14. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced via email to your account. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the changes.
