Why RECLION exists

Most screen recorders today are cloud-first by default. They want your videos on their servers, your account in their dashboard, and your credit card on file every month. That’s a great model, for them.

I wanted a tool that worked the opposite way:

• Recordings stay on your disk, not our cloud.
• The app works offline: you should be able to record on a plane.
• One purchase, no subscription. Free for life, including free upgrades to v2.0 and every future version.

Why “Record Like A Lion”

Three reasons:

• The app’s mark is a lion. (Yes, “Loom” inspired the name.)

Early access (the version you can buy today) is the full record + edit + export pipeline: Mic / System / Both audio, internal cuts, post-recording annotations, variable-speed export, frame-accurate trim. A v2.0 release is planned (date to be announced) that adds:

• Cloud-share integrations: direct upload to Google Drive, Dropbox, YouTube, and Vimeo, still local-first and opt-in per recording.
• Live streaming: go live to YouTube, Facebook, or Twitch from the same recording bar.
• Crop capture and multi-monitor switch: record a region of interest, or hot-swap between displays mid-recording.
